On Dragonrider we worked in close collaboration with BigHugFX to manage the challenges of a 3d feature animated film, about 700 shots overall. Among others, our main tasks included to build a cross studio Houdini pipeline for FX and Light/Render departments. This involved custom developed toolsets for multi-shot/sequence lighting and rendering, efficent template based scene setups with render zones, shader caching, fx assembly workflow with automated geo/asset replacing mechanics and optimizing workflows.
Additionally we helped to tackle a lot of technical issues in the incoming data on a day to day basis and completed fx, light and render tasks for almost 200 Shots.
